About
There is much to say and share about the connections between music, language, human nature, and learning. This website aims to bring together thoughts, feelings, resources, and inspiring ideas to share on teaching K-12 English language learners both through and with music. As an individual, a mom, and an ELL educator of many years, music has always been there to soothe or lift my spirit, to create memories with my loved ones, and to enhance my students' learning. In my continuing journey as a lifelong learner, I recently completed graduate studies in the M.Ed. Curriculum and Pedagogy, Field Study Online Teaching and Learning program at OISE, University of Toronto. My participation in the course Holistic Approaches to Information Technology and the teachings of Dr. Selia Karsten inspired me to create this site as a hub for sharing some of the "MELLody" of English language teaching and learning.
